Board appoints Tripp Tercek to Special Events Commission; one trustee abstains

Mayor John Hayes’s appointment of Tripp Tercek to the Special Events Commission for a term ending April 30, 2025, was advanced Feb. 3 when the Village Board directed staff to prepare the oath and appointment paperwork.
Trustee Swinbeck moved to concur in the mayor’s appointment; the motion was seconded. Trustee Bertucci announced he would recuse himself and abstain because Tercek works within the same firm. The board approved the appointment by voice vote; the board administered the oath and presented a village lapel pin.
No ordinance or further action was required; the appointment will be recorded with the village clerk and the appointee will serve through April 30, 2025.
