Committee forwards ordinance to restore subdivision engineer review fee to board

The Village of Machesney Park Administration Finance Committee voted Feb. 3 to send Ordinance 0425 to the Feb. 18 board meeting with a positive recommendation to restore a plant engineer review fee for subdivision plats.

A staff member told the committee that the fee reference was inadvertently omitted when CivicPlus began hosting the village code online: "When Civic Plus took over maintenance and publishing of our village code book online, reference to the engineer review fee for replac and final plat subdivision was inadvertently omitted from the new version of the code." The staff member said the village has not increased fees and that the amendment simply restores the prior text stating the fee is "equal to 3% of the cost of construction" for required infrastructure improvements.
