Members identified specific date conflicts to avoid. The board asked staff to avoid scheduling a regular board meeting on Election Day (Nov. 4) and discussed moving that meeting to Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) instead. Members also flagged potential conflicts with June graduation schedules, noting the June work session currently slated for June 23 could fall on a high-school graduation date and asked principals to confirm that date. The board asked staff to share the draft meeting grid with the music and athletics departments and district administrators to solicit any conflicts before the formal July vote.
No formal vote on the calendar was taken; board members agreed informally to treat the draft as the working schedule and to return for final approval at the organizational meeting in July. Superintendent and administrative staff will publish the draft for internal stakeholders and collect conflicts for possible adjustment.
