The Plymouth Public Schools School Committee reorganized its officers during the Jan. 27 meeting, electing Mr. Pisano as chair, Miss Jackson as vice chair and Robert Morgan as secretary. The superintendent explained the nomination and acceptance process before members nominated and voted for the three positions.
The superintendent described the procedure for nominations and asked for a motion for chair. Miss Jackson nominated Luis Fasano, and Mr. Pisano was also nominated; Mr. Pisano accepted the nomination and, by a voice/hand vote, was confirmed as chair. The committee then moved to vice chair and secretary; Miss Jackson was nominated and confirmed unanimously as vice chair, and Robert Morgan was nominated and confirmed unanimously as secretary.
The new officers will assume their respective meeting duties immediately, with the chair presiding over subsequent agenda items. The reorganization proceeded at the meeting’s start and took place before public comments and committee business.
