The Haslet City Council on Feb. 3 approved several land-use and interlocal items and discussed — but did not act on — changing the city's form of government to a city-manager structure.
The council approved an ordinance authorizing a joint election agreement with Tarrant County political subdivisions to administer the May election; it also approved site and landscape plans for Lots 4A, 4B and 9R of Latera Village, a replat for Lot 15R-1, Block 12 (120 Main Street) and revisions to the City of Fort Worth–Haslet Emergency Medical Services interlocal agreement to explicitly include a subscription ambulance program. The council also authorized the mayor to execute a property exchange contract with AI L West 3 LLC (Hillwood) that trades two triangular parcels of equal acreage to give Haslet Parkway access to a city-owned tract.

The meeting later recessed into executive session to discuss a real-property negotiation related to the property exchange; when open session resumed the mayor stated there were no actions resulting from the executive session.
The city indicated future agenda items will include an ordinance to designate the fire department as full-time paid and a community facilities agreement related to a Quick Trip site.
