Michigan State Fair donates $10,000 to Novi Youth Assistance, board hears

Representatives from the Michigan State Fair Suburban Showplace and Novi Youth Assistance presented a $10,000 check to Novi Youth Assistance at the board meeting on Jan. 13.
"We just wanted to provide a $10,000 donation, to the Novi Youth Assistance program," said Blair Bowman of Suburban Showplace and the Michigan State Fair. Bowman noted the fair’s presenting partners included Henry Ford Health System and HAP and said the fair had a history of supporting local charities.
Greg Coke, chair of Novi Youth Assistance, thanked the fair and described the group's local work helping families. "We've made some great progress...we're really doing a good job serving our community," he told the board.
The presenters and board members also recognized Novi Youth Assistance’s recent move to facilities located within the district and thanked the organization for its partnership with the school district on family support.
