Assistant Superintendent Todd Rathbun told the Anchor Bay School District Board of Education on Jan. 22 that the district’s amended 2024–25 general fund budget shows revenues slightly above $81 million and expenditures of about $78 million, producing a projected surplus of just under $3 million.
The surplus would add to a beginning fund balance of roughly $14 million, Rathbun said, and the board has committed about $2.8 million from the sale of the Sugarbush property for future capital outlay. That leaves an unrestricted fund balance of about $14.15 million, or roughly 18 percent of expenditures, Rathbun said.
