HRA to convey property to Hamilton Habitat for up to six houses; public hearing and grant applications in process

HRA staff reported that the authority will receive just over three acres north of the community center and plans to convey the developable portion to Hamilton Habitat for construction of up to six houses.
Jason Hale said most of the property is wetlands; the developable area is where Habitat intends to build. Because the HRA would be disposing of public property to a private nonprofit, Hale said the HRA must hold a public hearing before conveyance can occur. Staff said documentation has been drafted and that the conveyance would appear on an upcoming HRA agenda for a public hearing and formal action.
Hale also reported that the HRA has submitted applications to an entity referenced in the transcript as "I triple R" for two requests: one for $36,000 for Hamilton Habitat (homestead lots) and another for $400,000 for Norr Skogen (transcript reference: Norris Group/Norr Skogen). Staff said applications are complete and that project sponsors would be informed of follow‑up questions, if any, in February.
The HRA indicated it will place the conveyance on an upcoming agenda and proceed with required public‑notice steps.
