Board appoints board president as East Baton Rouge representative to ITEP committee

Board members discussed the role and agreed the board president would serve as the district’s representative. A motion proposing that the board president serve carried on a roll-call vote.
Board members said the position requires members who can engage with both community and business representatives on tax-exemption requests and noted the importance of protecting school millage revenues that voters authorized.
