L'Anse Creuse Board elects officers, approves meeting calendar and routine authorizations at organizational meeting

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education members met Jan. 13, 2025, at the Harry Hill Wheeler Community Center in Lincoln Township for the district's organizational meeting, where they sworn in new members, elected board officers for the 2025–26 calendar year and approved the district's meeting schedule and routine administrative authorizations.

The board elected Adam Lipsky president, Al Doss vice president, Sharon Ross secretary and John De Villa treasurer for the 2025–26 year. The board also approved a calendar of regular and committee meetings, confirmed depository and legal-service acknowledgments, and reaffirmed signatures and document‑authorization procedures used by the board and administration.

Why it matters: Organizational meetings set leadership and process for the year, affecting who sets agendas, who signs checks and how quickly the board can act on time‑sensitive items. Board members said the district expects a busy year and wanted a meeting cadence that can accommodate time‑sensitive votes when necessary.
