Infrastructure board elects chair, names vice chair and approves minutes

The nominations came after a short discussion of the board’s bylaws. Board members noted that, under the bylaws, the vice chair typically becomes chair but the previous vice chair’s term had expired; members said that circumstance required electing a chair at the meeting.
Ray Fraser moved to nominate Thomas Glum for chair. A board member seconded the motion. After a voice vote in which members said “aye,” the chair announced the motion carried and asked the newly elected chair to take the gavel. Later in the meeting Fraser nominated himself for vice chair; that nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board then moved to approve the minutes from the September meeting. A member who attended that meeting seconded the motion; members voted in favor and the minutes were adopted.
No roll-call vote tally with individual names was recorded in the transcript; votes were taken by voice. Meeting participants also discussed ensuring members have and understand the bylaws and noted upcoming procedural items such as the required sunshine briefing for new members.
