HANOVER, Mass. — At its Jan. 15 meeting the Hanover School Committee unanimously accepted $19,683.46 in donations received between Dec. 11 and Jan. 10.
Administration staff presented a summary showing contributions from local partners and organizations. Major items listed in the presentation included a donation to the HHS Scholarship Fund from the Lehi Kristen Cervantes Fund, a contribution from Creative Planning for the David Walsh Scholarship, gym equipment support from HFEE, and regular donations from Basestate Textiles for on-campus textile bins. The HPTA donation activities funded staff holiday lunches, gingerbread-house events, winter carnivals and other school activities, the presentation said.
A committee member requested more information about the David M. Walsh scholarship; staff agreed to provide details at the next meeting.
The committee approved the donation acceptance by roll call: Libby Corbeau, Ryan Hall, Pete Moraglia, Jackie Jorgensen and Rachel Hughes voted in favor.
