School Committee unanimously approves graduation date, scholarships, minutes and warrants

The Agawam School Committee voted unanimously on a set of routine items at the meeting.
The committee approved moving Agawam High School’s graduation ceremony to Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Symphony Hall. The motion was made by Mrs. Reid and seconded by Mrs. Rua; the roll call was seven yes, no no votes, and the motion carried.
The committee also approved the Sandra Boyer Memorial Scholarship (moved by Mr. Christopher, seconded by Mrs. Dimadio) and the Deborah Pellegrino Memorial Scholarship (moved by Mr. Perry, seconded by Miss McDougall). Both motions passed unanimously on roll-call votes.
The committee approved the regular meeting minutes from Dec. 10, 2024 (moved by Mrs. Rua, seconded by Mr. Christopher) and a batch of warrants. The warrants approved included multiple SW/Warrant numbers with amounts read into the record, and a payroll warrant (PW-25-6) in the amount of $3,477,061.83. Warrants read into the record and approved included (by warrant number and amount): 25-225 $12,629.17; 25-226 $19,348.54; 25-227 $55,752.05; 25-228 $20,092.72; 25-235 $144,934.17; 25-243 $53,158.27; 25-247 $10,311.51; 25-250 $47,452.95; 25-251 $318,023.31; 25-257 $9,367.00; 25-258 $307,060.76; 25-261 $1,095,415.25; and payroll warrant PW-25-6 $3,477,061.83. The motion to approve warrants was moved by Miss McDougall and seconded by Mr. Perry and carried 7–0.
All recorded roll-call votes on these items were unanimous (7 yes, 0 no). Committee members thanked scholarship families and staff as appropriate; no further substantive debate or amendments were recorded for these items.
