Administrators said the calendar reflects attempts to balance professional development, student assessment schedules (including AP and MCAS windows) and family needs. Committee members discussed graduation timing and noted Xfinity Center scheduling constraints; administrators said graduation dates will depend on venue availability and DESE rules about the minimum number of school-days between last day of instruction and graduation ceremonies.
Vote: The committee voted 5–0 to adopt the 2025–26 calendar as presented, with staff to correct a minor typographical error in the printed day-count totals.
