Board authorizes chair to sign Yakima Valley COG 2025 CMAQ agreement

On Jan. 23 the Yakima County Board of Commissioners moved and approved a motion authorizing the board chair to sign the Yakima Valley Council of Governments 2025 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality agreement; the authorization was approved by a voice vote.
The Yakima County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 23 authorized the chair to sign the Yakima Valley Council of Governments (YVCOG) 2025 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) agreement.
Julie (staff member) told the board the agreement was on page 9 of the packet and needed a commissioner’s signature. Commissioner McKinney moved "for the chair of the board, Commissioner Curtis, to sign the attached letter," and Commissioner Curtis seconded. The board voted by voice to approve the authorization; commissioners responded "Aye," and the chair signed after the motion passed.
Julie said the board had previously approved a related resolution at the regular meeting earlier that week and that the signature on the agreement itself was the remaining administrative step. The Jan. 23 action authorized the chair to sign; no additional contract terms were discussed in the work session.
The board also later moved to adjourn the work session, which passed by voice vote.
