Hammond reported the softball portion of the project is targeted for completion April 1 and the baseball portion on May 21, both dates contingent on continued favorable weather.
Councilors asked clarifying questions about contingency schedules; Hammond said crews had worked nights and weekends to accelerate the timeline and that the baseball completion date places the project nearly 30 days ahead of the original schedule.
