King County Board of Health reviews proposed on-site sewage (septic) code revisions ahead of February vote

Board members received a detailed presentation from Dylan Orr, director of the Environmental Health Services Division, and OSS program staff including Lynn Schneider and Karina Marotte. The revisions would take effect April 1, 2025 if the board votes to adopt them at its February meeting.
Public commenters urged both stronger education and attention to cost burdens.
