The board approved numerous coaching appointments for the spring season — the packet listed 22 coaches and volunteer assistants by sport and school.
The board approved the purchase of two Thomas school buses via cooperative purchasing at a price of $139,714 each (total requested $279,421). Board discussion noted that ordered buses will not arrive immediately and are expected in time for the next fall season.
The board approved two out-of-state, overnight student trips: Northfield 7th–8th grade choir to a music festival at Kings Island Theme Park in Mason, Ohio (May 9–10, 2025) and an advanced physical-education ski trip to a Michigan resort (Feb. 10, 2025).
Several smaller consent items were approved by voice vote, including a set of community donations read into the record: a $100 donation from Haltman's Nursery and Landscaping for the Northwell girls basketball program, a $50 donation from Rowan First Brother Church for North Hills athletics in memory of Larry Telzeroth, and a $100 donation from Troy and Stacy Bear for Northfield girls basketball.
