Weston posts multiple vacancies; board narrows superintendent-search consultants

Human-resources staff told the board Tuesday that the district is recruiting for several positions, including a special-education teacher at the middle school, a paraeducator at Weston High School and a long-term substitute social worker at the middle school.
Julie said the district will post the anticipated vacancy for the Weston Intermediate School principal after Patty Falber’s retirement announcement. The board also reported that it has reviewed proposals from superintendent-search firms and narrowed the candidates; the board plans to move forward with a search consultant in the coming weeks, and the consultant will solicit input from staff and community stakeholders about the district’s next leader.
Pupil-personnel services staff said they are screening candidates and expect more PPTs in the second half of the year; they are also preparing extended-school-year (ESY) postings and transition activities for students moving between buildings.
