The Weston Board of Education learned Tuesday that Weston Intermediate School Principal Patty Falber plans to retire effective June 30, 2025.
Julie (board speaker) announced Falber’s intent during the meeting’s consent agenda remarks, summarizing Falber’s 30-year career in Weston Public Schools: hired as a substitute in 1994, a classroom teacher in 1995, a grade-team leader and assistant principal, and the founding assistant principal of Westin Intermediate School; Falber has served as principal of Weston Intermediate School for the past 15 years.
Julie said Falber’s leadership helped WIS become a “nurturing and dynamic learning environment.” Board members shared personal remembrances and thanks during the meeting.
Human-resources staff said the district will post the anticipated vacancy for the WIS principal position as part of routine succession planning.
