Council appoints member to Electrical Advisory Committee; boards and commission updates given

City manager appointed Mike Fermansky to the Electrical Advisory Committee with council approval; council also received routine updates from the Harbor Advisory Committee, Electrical Advisory Committee and Housing Commission.
The city manager appointed Mike Fermansky to the Electrical Advisory Committee and the appointment was made at the Jan. 16 council meeting with no objections recorded.
Council discussion described Fermansky as knowledgeable about electrical issues and noted he had worked for the city previously. Mr. McNeil (the city manager) formally made the appointment at the meeting.
Council members also received several routine board and commission reports: the Harbor Advisory Committee discussed a five-year plan and informal public input opportunities and approved a rate change for slips; the Electrical Advisory Committee reported housekeeping items, solar-project updates and that it had recommended the revised net metering policy to council; and the Housing Commission reported that the first of two new elevators at Harbor Tower is in service and the second is expected within about a month.
No formal votes on the board reports were recorded; the Fermansky appointment was completed by manager appointment with council concurrence.
