Council denies special-exception permit for proposed liquor store at 1505 E. 37th St.

The Chattanooga City Council on Jan. 21 denied a special-exception permit for a proposed liquor store at 1505 East 37th Street after the council concluded the proposal was inconsistent with the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the surrounding community, Councilwoman Dotley said.
