Commission says Tyler Tech database go‑live expected next month; Civic Access online application to roll out more slowly

Commission staff running the Columbia River Gorge Commission’s new permitting and records database told commissioners they are in the final user‑acceptance testing phase and expect to go live between the middle and the end of next month.
Mike, a staff member leading configuration and testing, said staff are completing final user acceptance training to identify configuration issues with Tyler Tech before the system goes live. “This is our last chance to identify any issues in the configuration of the database,” he said. Staff will continue to tweak the system after go‑live to add tooltips and minor field name changes.
The online application component, Civic Access, will receive a “soft rollout” and will not be widely advertised until staff are confident in the workflow. Mike cautioned that Civic Access needs more work before a full public launch and staff will continue focused testing in upcoming internal meetings.
Staff said the project remains on schedule and on budget. Commissioners were reminded to complete a best‑practices survey required for the agency’s budget materials; staff noted a deadline of Feb. 19 for survey completion.
