Moore City Council approves routine land, procurement and budget items; names public‑safety review committee

The Moore City Council on Jan. 21 approved a package of routine land‑use, procurement and budget measures and appointed a three‑member committee to review proposals for a new public safety facility.

The actions included approval of a lot split at Midway Place Industrial Park, authorization to auction surplus police vehicles, acceptance of state emergency‑management grants, sole‑source replacement of uninterruptible power supplies for dispatch and emergency operations, authorization to solicit an RFP for a new computer‑aided dispatch and records management system, and several budget supplements covering multiple city funds. The council also appointed Mayor Hamm, Councilman Sid Porter and Councilman Rob Clark to review finalists for the proposed public safety facility.

City staff presented the lot‑split application for Midway Place Industrial Park, describing the property as two office buildings currently on a single I‑2‑zoned parcel. "The applicant is proposing to split the 1 parcel into 2 in order to transfer ownership of 1 of the created parcels, so each building will be on its own parcel," a city staff member said. The staff member added that a cross‑access easement and maintenance agreement will be filed with Cleveland County and recommended approval.
