Council members and staff discussed contractor familiarity and prior work, liability insurance certificates and the need to update any older bid documents and certificates during contract negotiations. Council asked staff to secure an updated certificate of liability insurance and to include contract-document verification as the project moves to the contract phase. Council indicated consensus to move forward with replacement and noted the ARPA allocation would cover the bid.
Staff said full contract documents and up-to-date insurance would be requested before execution. The council did not record a formal vote in the work session but directed staff to proceed toward contract documents and bring the contract back for formal approval as appropriate.
