School committee approves class banner sponsors and permits family names on 2025 OA banner

On Jan. 9 the Easton School Committee approved adding two banner sponsors and allowed family-name sponsors to appear on the Old Academy (OA) Class of 2025 banner.
Maria Palma, speaking on behalf of the Class of 2025, asked the committee to add Healthy Smiles Dentistry (a West Bridgewater practice) and Primary Colors (a photography company) to the existing sponsor list. "We would, respectfully request permission to add them to the sponsor list," Palma said.
Committee members also asked whether families could sponsor the banner and how family names would be presented. Palma said families were intended to be listed alongside businesses "and it would read ... the name of the family and then join the list of business sponsors on the banner." The class’s advisers said family names would be scaled the same as business sponsors and that a suggested contribution had been $100 but no minimum was required.
The committee voted to approve Healthy Smiles Dentistry, Primary Colors (photography), and family sponsors for the OA 2025 banner. Committee members clarified that the banner would include a general congratulatory message at the top and list sponsors (business and family names) beneath it in equal weight, and that the banner would be displayed at graduation and during senior-week events.
