Planning Commission clears Robinson Industrial Park Phase 1 final plat

The Owasso Planning Commission on Jan. 13 unanimously approved the final plat for Robinson Industrial Park Phase 1, a 23.37-acre industrial development east of the southeast corner of East 76th Street North and North Mingo Road, subject to technical comments identified by staff and TAC.
Staff described the site as zoned IL and noted the Grow Owasso 2035 land-use plan designates the area for industrial and regional employment uses. The property was annexed into the city in two actions referenced by staff: Ordinance 252 (1979) and Ordinance 748 (2003). The preliminary plat for the industrial park was approved by the planning commission in October 2020, staff said.
The final plat proposes nine lots across four blocks; staff told commissioners the lots meet bulk and area requirements for the IL zone. The plat shows two points of access from East 76th Street North, with the primary access at the left side of the site plan and a secondary access intended primarily for fire access. Staff said perimeter and interior utility easements are included and that water and sewer service will be provided by the City of Owasso.
TAC reviewed the plat on Dec. 15, 2024, and staff recommended approval contingent on addressing the standard technical comments contained in the agenda packet. An applicant representative was present; no public opposition or additional conditions were requested. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the final plat subject to TAC technical comments.
Votes recorded were: Miss Lewis — yes; Commissioner Smith — yes; Commissioner Cook — yes; Dr. Balthrop — yes; Commissioner Vines — yes; Commissioner Bolton — yes. Staff indicated that the usual technical follow-up and recording steps will occur after the applicant satisfies TAC comments.
