Streetscape task force formed to address Poplar and Germantown Road tree canopy and utility corridors

Commissioners and staff reported progress on the Streetscape Task Force and related tree and corridor issues at the Jan. 28 meeting, describing an initiative to address the uneven tree canopy along Poplar Avenue and Germantown Road where utility lines affect tree species and pruning.

Alderman Hicks and Commissioner Nischwitz reported active participation. - Pilot-area approach: The group will identify three candidate locations and conduct a case-study analysis to produce a template for future work.
