At its Jan. 16 meeting the Mount Judah Planning Commission approved the consent agenda, releasing multiple development letters of credit and approving final and preliminary plats and site plans, and it added a condition requiring a 6-foot sidewalk on Nonnable Road for the Godfrey subdivision.
Consent items approved included release of multiple letters of credit (amounts and identifying numbers stated in staff reports) for Legacy Point Phase 1, Harrington Phase 1 and 2, Kelsey Glenn phases, and others, and approvals of final plats for Everett Downs Mixed Use and Golden Gateway Lots 26, and a site plan for Chipotle off Rutland Drive. Planning staff recommended approval of all consent items with the conditions listed in the staff report.
During consent review Commissioner Giles noted the preliminary and final plats for the Godfrey subdivision (items 6I and 6J) showed a 5-foot sidewalk along Nonnable Road while commissioners prefer a 6-foot public sidewalk to match adjacent sections. The commission reconsidered the Godfrey items and approved language adding the condition that the sidewalk on the public street be 6 feet, not 5.
The motion to approve the consent agenda (acknowledging item 6L was postponed) carried on a voice vote.
Why it matters: The consent agenda actions release developer financial guarantees and finalize plats that allow projects to move forward; the 6-foot sidewalk condition affects pedestrian infrastructure and continuity for the Godfrey subdivision along Nonnable Road.
Next steps: Developers will complete administrative steps to release letters of credit and record plats; the Godfrey developer must provide a 6-foot sidewalk along the public street as a condition of approval.
