Later the committee considered a gubernatorial appointment. Senator Wintrow moved to send the nomination of Janice Geisel to the Offender Management Board to the floor with a recommendation that the Senate confirm her; Senator Ricks seconded. The committee voted "aye" on the motion and the chair noted the motion carried. Senator Lenny indicated he would carry the nomination on the Senate floor for the senator whose district includes the nominee.
