Staff recounted that cameras recorded individuals marking properties and that the group has images but not definitive identifications. Members said the markings appeared across the north side and alleys, and that removal required more specialized work than the BIDs routine graffiti cleanup contractor could provide.
Board members discussed whether improved camera coverage would deter future incidents and allow better identification; they also raised concerns about the durability of some stone surfaces and the cost of proper restoration.
No formal enforcement actions or arrests were reported during the meeting; staff said they are continuing removal efforts and coordinating with property owners and cleanup contractors.
