On the floor, a senator moved and the chamber granted unanimous consent to approve the journals as certified by the Senate secretary. The chamber also approved citations in memoriam for Wallace James Uch Amat Amaktulik Jr., Reginald M. Luke Octicon and Jacob Axel Johnson Sr. by unanimous consent after the secretary read them into the record.
Several routine unanimous-consent requests were granted: a senator was excused for the day (Senator Olson), and the invocation offered earlier by Pastor Greg Weinert was ordered to be spread on the journal. The Senate then agreed, without objection, to stand adjourned until 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025 for a joint session.
