The motion to approve was moved by Dr. Brittany Walker and seconded by Mike Lemonia. The motion carried with all board members voting yes.
Board members were told that if Chesapeake did not approve participation, remaining divisions would reassess interest and any unspent regional funds would be returned to the General Assembly. Miller emphasized the importance of marketing and outreach because the recovery school’s referrals can include parents, therapists, physicians and residential programs.
