Councilmembers asked about adjacent parcels and potential future uses. Kevin said Tresider, who owns neighboring tracts, had not indicated specific plans for the other parcels; the tract to the west is a larger lot accessed by private easement and staff had no indication of development plans there. Kevin noted the town’s land‑use plan supports medium‑density single‑family residential in the area and surrounding zoning includes R‑3 and PRD in town and RM in Rutherford County.
No formal vote was taken at the workshop; staff instructed that the resolution and ordinance be placed on the regular meeting agenda for final action.
