Wright said the center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offers instructor-led exercise and line-dancing classes, ceramics, art, knitting, a monthly "sip and paint" (nonalcoholic), creative writing workshops for Black History Month, guest speakers on genealogy and music, a men's breakfast with special guests, monthly field trips (recently to Selma and planned trips to the Civil Rights Institute and Charleston), a lunch bunch, movies, card games and karaoke with local high-school students.
