Cumberland County officials recognized Melissa "Missy" Day for 20 years of service during the finance committee meeting.
Mark Evans, Missy Day’s supervisor, presented the award and said Day had also spent 10 years in local work before joining the county, bringing her total public-service experience to roughly 30 years. "It's my pleasure and honor to be up here presenting Missy with her 20 years of service to Cumberland County today," Evans said. "She has now spent 30 years supporting the individuals and the families in Cumberland County."
Evans described Day as a primary support to the county’s support coordinators, a quality manager and a lead on participant-directed support work. Committee members thanked Day for her service; the presentation included brief remarks and photos and no formal action was taken.
