Struthers shifts to CloudPermit; landlord-registration feature pending and partial rollout ongoing

City staff reported an in-progress migration from the previous iWORKS system to a new software platform, CloudPermit. The caucus transcript indicates the code-enforcement module is live while the landlord-registration module remains not yet implemented.
A staff member identified the new system as CloudPermit and said part of the system is up and running but a CloudPermit contact was temporarily unavailable, delaying final setup. The transcript records that the city is “up and running with part of it, the code enforcement aspect,” and that staff were still waiting for the landlord-registration portion to be completed.
Staff discussed public-facing access: the platform should allow residents and permit applicants to view permits online once fully operational, but that capability was not yet available at the time of the caucus.
On cost, staff stated the current CloudPermit configuration in use costs $7,000 a year; they said the previous solution cost $10,000 a year and that expanded feature sets could raise the price to $20,000–$30,000 annually if the city chose those options.
Staff also noted that, while the software speeds tracking, code-enforcement and landlord-registration activities can proceed without the software — the platform primarily enables recordkeeping and public access.
