County negotiators reported the vendor agreed to provide two units at a marginal additional cost, giving the county one spare to reduce service interruptions.
McKinnon said the additional unit’s up‑front incremental cost would be approximately $5,775 and that the department proposed to absorb that within its operating budget. Commissioners indicated four thumbs‑up during the study session and recorded concurrence to proceed with the purchase and fixed‑asset setup.
