Council approves talks with library on possible housing and development at Library Lane; conservancy urges inclusion

City Council on Jan. 21 approved a resolution directing the city administrator to engage the Ann Arbor District Library in discussions about potential development, including housing, on part of the city parcel known as the Library Lane parking lot, commonly called the center of the city.

The motion was moved by Council member Cornell and seconded by Council member Iyer. Council voted to approve the resolution by voice vote; the transcript records "All in favor? All opposed?
