Disability Network outlines winter virtual programming, in-person Winter Wonderland

Andrea Henry, representing Disability Network Washtenaw, Monroe and Livingston (DNWML), briefed commissioners on a slate of winter programs the agency is running for adults with disabilities.
Henry said Theater B — a weekly, one-hour virtual theater class focused on self-expression and group games — starts Thursday, Jan. 16 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom and requires no registration. She described a Life Skills Lab that meets every other Tuesday (2 to 3 p.m.) and a Virtual Movie Club that pairs at-home viewing with an online discussion; she listed films planned for upcoming weeks including Bad Boys and Bad Boys for Life and said the movie club meets Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. via Zoom. Henry also announced a Winter Wonderland Fest for adults 18 and older with hot drinks, trivia and social activities; she said that event will be held in February from 4 to 6 p.m. at DNWML’s Washtenaw office (the exact February date was not specified).
