Princeton students highlight DECA success, upcoming cheer national competition and extra-curricular achievements

Fatima Rizzo, a senior and DECA participant, said DECA helped students prepare for business careers and build professional skills. "DECA is a business club that helps students prepare for careers in marketing and management. It also helps students develop leadership skills," Rizzo said. She and teammates placed 2nd at state and attended the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California, she said.
Caleb McCollum, a junior and DECA officer, said he uses DECA as entrepreneurial practice. "I use it as more of practice of me being an entrepreneur because my dream is to be an entrepreneur," McCollum said.
Isaiah Dudley, senior and cheer captain, said the cheer team qualified for a national competition in February and will host a school showcase. "So we're making history actually in going to the national cheerleading competition in February, and we actually have a showcase this Sunday on 2nd at 6 o'clock in at Princeton in the gym," Dudley said.
Other students on the program discussed awards and recognition: Mitchell Kessler said he participates in drawing and painting and in band; Jennifer (Jenny) Rodriguez described a DECA project focused on mental health; another student reported a 4th-place finish in a DECA marketing communications role-play category.
