Emmaus High SGA and district update: student awards, field‑study partnership and Feb. 12 parent engagement night

SGA report SGA representatives Ms. Koehler and Ms. Howard reported on high school activities, saying girls basketball was 18–1 and holding the top district ranking in District 11 and that several winter sports teams and cheer were continuing their seasons. They said the SGA is running its annual “Spread the Love” campaign and that the winter dance “Snow Co” is scheduled for Feb. 22; ticket sales will run Feb. 5–20. SGA representatives also reminded students about yearbook ordering and posted trip enrollment deadlines: a Spain and Portugal trip planned for 2026 and an Iceland trip in June 2025 with enrollment open through Jan. 30.
District update Dr. Campbell gave the district update and noted that Emmaus High School students collectively earned about 70 awards in the 2025 Scholastic Art Competition. He said EHS DECA students qualified for the Pennsylvania DECA Career Development Conference in Hershey and named Dominic Reggieri (marketing and entrepreneurship) and Jacob Walter (supply chain management and logistics technology) as qualifiers; Reggieri placed sixth and Walter placed first in regional competition, according to Dr. Campbell.
Dr. Campbell also listed results from the District 11 SkillsUSA championships, naming students who placed in categories including culinary arts, cosmetology, electrical construction wiring, automotive refinishing, early childhood education and criminal justice; those winners will advance to the next phase of competition.
On family engagement, Dr. Campbell said the district will host a Parent Engagement Night at Emmaus High School at 6 p.m. on Feb. 12. The event will include rotations on social media safety, mental health resources and sessions with local business leaders about employer expectations. He encouraged families to attend.
Other items Dr. Campbell reminded seniors to complete cap and gown and diploma information for graduation and said registration is open for spring community education classes for senior citizens. He also noted a Giant store “round up” fundraiser that benefits the district through March 31 and said the district is recruiting secondary educators for the 2025–26 school year; specific vacancies are posted on the district website.
