Interim County Administrator Eric Johnson told the board the recommended transfer covers three items: a severance payment for the former county administrator, salary components for the interim administrator that were not included in the adopted budget, and accrued professional-services charges. "We are recommending that $45,000 to come from non departmental reserve to the commissioner's office's professional services," Johnson said.
After confirming there were no questions from commissioners, a motion and second were offered and the board approved the transfer on a voice vote.
Staff said the funds would be used to clear the identified balances in the commissioners' budget; no additional policy direction or program changes were associated with the transfer.
