Staff and at least one commissioner discussed the mechanics of monthly billing, whether invoices could be bundled to reduce recurring board approvals, and why this particular invoice requires board action (it exceeds the county’s threshold for spending authority). Procurement staff said invoices vary month to month, and this is the one fixed amount exceeding the approval threshold.
A motion to approve spending authority for the January payment to Prime Care Medical Inc. passed without recorded opposition.
Commissioners asked staff to explore more efficient billing and approval procedures so routine monthly invoices need not return to the full board each month.
