On Jan. 30 the Utah County Board of Equalization voted to accept a petition alleging a factual error in case 607 (Sydney Walsh) and to proceed to a merits review.
A staff member said the petition appeared to present a factual error and the assessor’s office agreed. The chair called for a motion to approve; the board voted aye and the petition will be advanced to a merits hearing where staff will review the factual claim and associated valuation.
Commissioners recorded no additional conditions in the transcript. The acceptance of the petition does not itself change the valuation; it permits the BOE process to address the substantive claim.
