Judge Boyd grants early termination of Alexander Streeter's deferred adjudication, effective Feb. 11

Judge Stephanie Boyd of the 187th District Court granted early termination of deferred adjudication for Alexander Bryant Streeter (2020 CR 1544), saying the motion would take effect Feb. 11.
Probation had recommended the early termination, and the defense asked the court to grant it after reviewing Streeter’s compliance record. Probation officer Deshaun Abrams told the court, “At this point, they are recommending early termination.” The state opposed the motion and asked the court for time to contact complainants before the termination became final.
Boyd said she would allow the termination to proceed but gave the state a short window to reach complainants. “So, I’ll grant your motion on February 11th,” the judge told the parties. The order will not become effective until that date to give prosecutors time to contact victims as requested by the court.
The court’s written order will reflect the effective date and the no-contact condition the judge reiterated in open court. Defense counsel and probation may file the formal paperwork the clerk requires to close the probation matter once the effective date arrives.
The case record shows Streeter had been placed on deferred adjudication in May 2021 for a six-year term and that probation reported no violations and no restitution owed. The court’s action ends Streeter’s formal supervision once the effective date is reached and the clerk’s paperwork is filed.
