Commissioners reviewed a draft 2025 meeting calendar and discussed several date conflicts, including Memorial Day weekend in May, Rosh Hashanah in September and the week of Thanksgiving/Christmas in November/December.
To avoid a Rosh Hashanah conflict, commissioners agreed in principle to hold the September meeting on Sept. 29 instead of Sept. 22. They also discussed December scheduling and, after checking the town meeting calendar availability, agreed to schedule the December meeting for Dec. 10 rather than Dec. 15 or Dec. 22.
Commissioners noted an earlier lesson that a meeting scheduled immediately after Thanksgiving (the first Monday in December) had lower attendance and recommended choosing a date that avoids the major holiday weeks. Staff said they would update the agenda and the town’s public meetings calendar to reflect the agreed dates and to notify the public.
