Seattle City Council on Jan. 28 unanimously adopted Seattle City Light’s updated Transportation Electrification Strategic Investment Plan (T‑SIP) for 2025–2030 and approved several term permits and conceptual approvals for private infrastructure projects, while opening a public hearing on an extension of interim floodplain regulations.
The T‑SIP (Resolution 32160) was adopted 8–0 and directs Seattle City Light to continue developing programs, incentives and grid investments to support transportation electrification through 2030. Council members also renewed a long‑standing permit for a Harbor Island pipeline, granted a new permit for the Pike Place Market skybridge with added public benefits, and approved conceptual and utility tunnel approvals tied to a South Lake Union development.
City Council President Sarah Nelson opened the public hearing on council bill 12927, which would extend interim floodplain development regulations; the hearing was held and closed during the meeting but no final vote on that bill was recorded.
