Strommen Park renovation ' Adopted: The council authorized spending room tax funds to renovate Strommen Park (Resolution 03-2025). Finance Director Jennifer Salinski said prior grant and private fundraising efforts were unsuccessful and room tax funds collected for the project are available. Motion by Alderman Giles; second by Alderman Tompkins. The motion passed.
Financial management plan ' Placed on file: The council accepted and placed on file the five-year financial plan presented Jan. 14 by Ehlers (Kayla Thorpe). Motion by Alderman Tompkins; second by Alderman Varsho. The motion passed.
Appointments ' Adopted: Sierra Starner Heffman was appointed to the Park, Recreation and Forestry Committee to complete a term ending April 2026. Zinn Ruple was appointed to the Library Board to complete a term ending April 2027. Motions were made and seconded; the council recorded affirmative votes and the motions passed.
Closed session ' Approved: The council voted to adjourn to closed session under Wis. Stat. A7 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchase or development of public property in Daniels Addition. Motion by Alderman Tompkins; second by Alderman O'Reilly. The clerk recorded affirmative votes and the council entered closed session.
