The Colorado Senate on Jan. 29 received committee reports from the Committee on Finance and other standing committees recommending amendments and referrals for multiple bills and then approved the journal of the previous day before adjourning into recess.
The Committee on Finance read recommendations that Senate Bill 46 be amended and, as amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation and placement on the consent calendar; Senate Bill 19 referred to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation and placement on the consent calendar; Senate Bill 18 referred favorably to the Committee on Appropriations; Senate Bill 16 amended and referred to the Committee of the Whole with favorable recommendation; and Senate Bill 13 amended and referred to the Committee on Appropriations with favorable recommendation. The Committee on State Veterans and Military Affairs reported Senate Bill 3 be amended and referred to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation. Separate floor announcements noted that Senate Bill 87 was correctly printed and Senate Joint Resolution 4 was correctly enrolled.
Senator Liston moved to approve the Senate journal of Jan. 28, 2025 "as corrected by the secretary," and the motion was adopted by voice vote; the transcript reports the ayes prevailing. Later, a motion was made to recess the Senate; the motion to recess until 10 a.m. was adopted by voice vote and the chamber stood in recess.
